2004 Anton Bauer Gruner Veltliner Grande Reserve
This is one of the most unique interpretations of Gruner Veltliner you will ever experience. Intensely low yields and new oak aging give this wine a richnes and complexity comparable only to premiere cru Burgundy, yet has a racy acidity and citrus component that stands it out from Chardonnay. An utterly unique and captivating experience.

Price: $31.99

2005 Domaine Dupont-Fahn Bourgogne
Depending on how you look at it, this is either one of the most expensive Bourgognes on the market, or the least expensive Cru Meursault you will ever find. The domaine was forced to completely declassify its parcel in Les Perrieres, yet the wine shows all the terroir and richness of great Meursault. An absolute steal for white Burgundy fans
Price: $29.99

2003 Hedges Three Vineyards Red

The Red Mountain AVA is Washington State's most celebrated growing area, producing fruit for some of the best wines in the state. This bottling represents one of the great values from the mountain, showing the balance of powerful fruit and elegant tannins that made the area famous. A recent tasting of this wine from the 90s showed us just how ageworthy this wine can be as well, so buy this by the case and forget about it!
Price: $24.99

2002 Mount Eden Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Santa Cruz Mountains

The Santa Cruz Mountains AVA produce some of California's finest wines, both red and white, yet rarely get the praise it deserves. The high altitude gives the wines better acidity, creating a more French style. Mount Eden, along with Ridge, create some of the best Cabs grown here, and the 2002 vintage is one of their best yet. Rich fruit balanced by firm tannins give this plenty of structure for long term aging, but can show well now for those that believe Napa Cab have become too thich and extracted for their own good.

NV Margaux-Janisson Champagne Cuvee Francois de Rozay
You will be very hard pressed to ever find a true Champagne of this quality for less. EVER. It helps to have the importer and winemaker live less than a mile from your store, but that's not why we carry it. This is small grower, artisan quality Champagne that's as tasty as the big boys, for $25!!! Pinot Meunier based, this shows lots of bright citrus aromas and a delicious crisp finish; we also carry their Cuvee Tradition (creamier, with some of the Chardonnay aged in barrels) for only $30. With wines like this around, you have NO excuse to buy from any of the big houses for $40 or more again.

2005 Terrace Heights Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Importer New Zealand Wine Imports may not have many wineries in their book, but boy are their wines impressive. Small production Sauvignon Blancs like this aren't terribly common these days in the U.S., so when you have the chance to get your hands on one it's a real treat. Deep, luscious texture loaded with gooseberry and white fruits, and a rich opulent texture usually found in the NZ wines closer to the $30 range.
Price: $19.99

2005 Orin Swift 'The Prisoner'
Cult wine alert here! Very limited amounts of this innovative Zinfandel/Cabernet Sauvignon wine make it out here for retail, so get on it while you can. Intensely aromatic, loaded with red and black berries, vanilla and spices, the wine walks the tricky line of balancing Zinfandel's immense hedonistic fruit with Cabeernet's structure and refinement. Fortunately they do it oh so well here.
Price: $32.99

2000 Chateau Malmaison Moulis en Medoc
It's hard to believe a wine that was rated 92 point by the Wine Spectator from one of the great vintages in Bordeaux in the last 10 years would still be around, yet here it is. No complaints here, as this massive wine is just now starting to strut its stuff. Probably the best showing French wine in the store right now for under $30.
Price: $26.99

2002 Tortochot. Morey St. Denis
One of the finest Burgundies I tasted in this vintage for the price. There is so much fruit here it will make you wonder how Pinot could ever be made light. The tannins are soft and deliver the wine in a velvet glove. I highly recommend this one for the cellar, it will be a life changing text-book Burgundy (all good Burgundy is life changing) ten years from the vintage date. Truly a stunning wine.
Price: $39.99

2005 Trevor Jones 'Virgin' Chardonnay
We really like the recent trend in Australia of seeing more and more unoaked Chardonnays. Over the last few vintages, this bottling has been one of the most outstanding versions of the style, made not only without oak aging, but with the free-run, unpressed juice from the weight of the Chardonnay grapes in the press (untouched, therefore 'Virgin'). Full bodied yet very natural, loaded with citrus and white fruits and a surprisinly refreshing finish, this is one of the more exciting and unique Chardonnays around.
